Kentucky 988's mission is to be there to provide a listening and understanding voice. In fact, of 988 contacts were resolved via phone, chat, or text in the past year. However, when that isn't enough, specialists work to connect individuals with mobile or first responders - but only when needed.
In the past year, of all 988 contacts resulted in an involuntary rescue due an inability to collaborate on a less invasive intervention to secure the person's immediate safety.
988 is here to serve all Kentuckians, regardless of background or crisis. Contacts are not asked or expected to provide demographic information, allowing the individual to share only what is comfortable. The data below represent the demographic information that has been voluntarily shared by contacts.
